Nilgiri is one of the tallest, lucrative and beautiful tourist spot in Bangladesh which is covered with the blanket of clouds in rainy season. It is more than 3000m from sea level and located at Thanci Thana under the district of Bandarban. It is situated about 46km south of Bandarban on the Bandarban-Chimbuk-Thanchi road.
Prantik lake is created and developed naturally which attracts any visitor from home and abroad. Especially film producers like the view of the lake very much. It is surrounded by several kinds of plants and varieties of trees. The management authority of this lake is Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
